I’m trying to recall how we befriended Paula but it’s all just a (happy) blur now. She was here for 6 months or so, being a beautiful model (obviously), but it was her personality and charisma that really stood out. Paula was naturally the life of parties everywhere, and Singapore loved her – but I guess we couldn’t keep her to ourselves forever.
When she decided that it was finally time to buzz, we panicked and hurriedly assembled this team in a record time of 10 minutes. And although we did the shoot a mere 3 days later, I think the photos turned out great anyway! #biased
We kept things super simple, and all the clothes were stol- I mean, loaned from my sort-of-neighbour Linda’s fabulous online store Yesah. I had nearly all of the old No Doubt videos on loop that week, so maybe that, er, subconsciously influenced my styling choices?
This conversation post-dinner just about sums up my styling, and my insecurities about this grave task in general:

Paula: You know… none of the clothes matched.
Joyce: Yeah, but it’s really just how Lenne dresses.
Lenne: *Tunes out in horror and starts assuming the worst as a tear silently rolls down my cheek and into my ramen*
Paula: Everything clashes but it just sort of goes together, you know? It’s so different!

I just love the results of this shoot and you really must know how grateful I am for realizing your awesome and thoughtful plans this last minute in those wonderful pictures I simply love to show around and look at.
