When we set out to do this shoot, we had Hansel & Gretel in mind. But what we actually saw when reviewing the photos… was a cross between The Hunger Games and Twilight! Shall we just pretend that this was a tribute (geddit) to just about every hit teen movie franchise in the past couple of years?
P/S In an earlier post, I asked you guys to guess what the concept for this shoot might have been, and the most common response was actually Blaine from Glee!!?! So which is worse in your opinion – A medieval-ish shoot that accidentally resembles Twilight or one where the male model (sorry, Akos!) ends up looking like a character from Glee?

LOVE!!
Hi there! I am in love with this photo shoot! It looks absolutely breathtaking and I love how black and white can make such a profound impact. I especially love that last dress. I love the way that it all turned out! It looks so dramatic–in a good way. Great job (:
Hope you had a lovely Valentines Day! xoxo

Hi Chermaine! Yup they’re shot in Singapore. Thank you so much! x
The photography is so cinematic too which just heightens the filmic references.
I can see the Hansel and Gretel inspiration in the first shot, but yeah, it looks more Hunger Games after that.
This is incredibly incredibly beautiful. Where did you shoot this? I especially love the greyish filters you’ve used, it sets the mood perfectly.
Hi Natalie, thank you so much! We shot these in… some forest we found near Changi haha x
I adore your pictures!!!! Totally amazing. Sorry to say, it does look like twilight but hey that’s a good multi-million-dollar-success thing? :P
