Inspiration: Eriko Nakao

Hello! It's 5am and I can't sleep.

Losing my phone has turned into a festive tradition that I can't seem to break away from, and this lunar new year is no exception. Backing up contacts and reporting the loss have become familiar routines, so thank goodness for that at least.

I'm stalking a girl on the internet to pass the time, and um, proclaiming it to the World Wide Web I guess. I don't know anything about Eriko Nakao, except that she models for her friends, and appears to prefer red eyeshadow. Maggus told me about her recently, and I've been obsessing over her "secretly"¹ ever since.

Her blog, which is a collaboration with photographer Takashi Yoshida and hairstylist Rie Shiraishi, is absurdly inspirational. This particular shoot (note: Totally NSFW), where Tomohiro Muramatsu illustrates on Eriko's body, is my favourite. It's peculiar, yes, but I thought the nudity was rather tastefully done.

I can't tell if she's a model-turned-blogger or vice versa, but I know without a doubt that she's one of the hottest and coolest Japanese "It" girls around.

Edit: I just discovered this interview with Eriko! Definitely worth a gander if you find her as fascinating as I do.
