Outfit: Channelling Louise Brooks
I'm becoming addicted to taking part in competitions or something. I saw Bloglovin's Botkier bag contest a day before the deadline, but I couldn't resist even though I had gastritis! (Foolish AND unhealthy, I know.)
So Christian came over (8 hours before the deadline or something) and did my hair for me! Then I set up the camera for him and he pressed the shutter for me and.. wait, so who's the photographer again? Thank you very much for helping me out, Chrisu~ ♥
Anyway after a long search for an inner bad girl to channel, I chose Louise Brooks:
I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you, it'll be with a knife.
Louise Brooks was one of the most beautiful actresses in the 1920s, or the Jazz age.
Her lifestyle, and her hairstyle, was considered pretty bold in the era of silent films. She was pretty open about her sexual lifestyle, and even admitted that she had a one night stand with Greta Garbo.
The 20's must've been very exciting.
By the way, the collar you see me wearing was pre-DIY. (I wasn't trying to pull a Miu Miu or anything, but I thought a plain black dress would've been boring.)
Then after I posted the photo up on LB, someone pointed out that it reminded her of Anna Karina in Vivre sa vie:
And I can see why! I kind of wish I found her sooner, but hey, Louise Brooks is a pretty badass inner bad girl!
Aaaand that's it for this outfit! I hope you liked it, wish me luck for the contest! I'll take a photo of the mirror collar thang in an outfit soon, and hopefully I'll finish my other DIY by then.
Have a lovely weekend! ♥

so classy yet chic
k: I don't think so! Or maybe I fail at Googling images haha.
