You might know by now that I take forever to retouch photos, so it probably won't surprise you that this set isn't complete yet! Nonetheless, I thought that it was so apt for Chinese New Year that I simply had to share.

As for the title of this series:

輕功 is ~basically~ a form of the mad ninja skills more commonly known as Chinese Martial Arts. Or you could think of it as an exaggerated form of Parkour, I guess.

Happy Lunar New Year, everyone!

Haven't had the chance to blog about this since I just got back from NAPBAS, but the couture spread that we did for Designaré Magazine is finally out!! Shooting couture dresses was a dream that I filed away in the "impossible" section of my bucket list, and I can't believe it happened so soon.

The artist behind the gorgeous artwork is Valerie Chua of Quietgirl.net. I've admired her work for the longest time, so having this opportunity to collaborate was nothing short of amazing. Please grab a copy of Designaré's December issue to view the illustrations in their full glory! These scans do them very little justice.

There's a long list of people that I feel indebted to, but first and foremost, I'd like to thank Frank Cintamani, without whom this shoot never would've happened. Thank you for taking a chance on me, and giving me such a wonderful opportunity to showcase my work! I'd also like to thank Kim Reyes for all her guidance, and for giving the team creative freedom.

Thank you 娘 (my mom), John, and all my friends for bearing with me and granting me all the patience in the world while I worried, worried, and worried through the entire production process. I'm blessed to have such supportive people in my life.

Last but not least, a huge thank you to my awesome team! I'm really proud of what we've achieved, and I really don't know what I'd do without you ♥

Edit: My mom just walked past and told me to tell you guys that my dad thinks that her name should've been in the magazine. I've seen more than one copy of this issue lying around the house. I suspect that she's been secretly stocking up...

Feature: Style Shooter in Seventeen Singapore (December)

Hello errrrrrbody~ I'll be a little busy for the next couple of days, so I'm attempting to squeeze out a decent post before bed.

If you follow me on Twitter (@lenneigh) or Instagram (also @lenneigh), you might have seen this god-awful photo of yours truly posing with this:

This month/year has been full of surprises, and although I already knew that I was going to be included in a Canon feature, I had no idea that I was going to be the only interviewee. Or that my photo would be that big. It's basically a two-page spread on my aspirations, some photography tips and photographs that I shot using a Canon EOS 1100D.

Thank you Fidz and Grace (from SPH Magazines) for featuring me! If you'd like to check out the feature, or doodle on my face, pick up a copy of Seventeen Singapore's December issue!

I was given two days to shoot, and I wasn't very keen on submitting generic ~plant/insect/flower~ photos in macro mode. Huge thanks to Lionnel, Valerie and Jansen from WOM Communications, for sneaking me into the backstage area of a Women's Fashion Week fringe event held at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, even though I only gave them half day's notice ;_;

Enough rambling, here's a bunch of unpublished photos that I liked from the set. All the photos in this post (minus the shot of the mag) were shot using a Canon EOS 1100D + an 18-55mm kit lens:

I'm heading off to bed now~ Please wish me luck for my shoot tomorrow! ♥
